Configuring AWS Command Line Interface

The AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a  tool to manage  AWS services.

Creating user

Services-IAM-Users

Add User

Set User Name and check programmatic access

Click Attach existing policies directly and check Administrator Access

Click download csv (in this file are Access key ID and Secret access key)

Connect to AWS Instance (VM) and type

aws configure

Enter Access Key and Secret Key (from CSV file)

For Region Name see http://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/rande.html

Output Format leave blank

To see all buckets type

aws s3 ls

To see credentials type

cd ~
cd .aws
