Creating AWS buckets

Bucket is in fact name for folder in AWS, in which we can store data

From AWS click Storage-S3

Click Create bucket

Bucket namespace is unique

After clicking Next we are presented with some options:

Versioning:keep track of object version

Logging:logs access to objects in AWS

Tags:used to track cost (tagging based on department-for example)

After clicking next we can set permissions:

There are user and public permissions,also there are object permissions (permissions over object itself)

and there is also ACL object permission)

After clicking next bucket is created,after clicking on bucket-Properties we can see all bucket properties,some of them are described earlier

Static Web Site hosting:hosting only static web site (html)

Cross-region replication-replicate bucket content to different region

Transfer acceleration-enables transferring files to and from bucket

Events-setting notifications when specific operations occur in bucket (creating/deleting/modifying objects)

Clicking on Management tab we can set

Lifecycle-removes outdated storage tiers

Analytics-analyses storage class usage

Metric-returns number of storage,access statistics

Inventory-report of bucket content

Uploading files:

Click bucket-Upload

Click on uploaded file

Click on link to download file

We got Access Denied because,by default all objects in buckets are private-not available

We need to make object public

After making object public,we can download it
